Fischermanns Orchestra

Fischermanns Orchestra is a Swiss avant-garde big band founded in 2007 by Thomas Reist and Philipp Z'Rotz. Based in Lucerne, this 16-piece ensemble blends elements of jazz, experimental music, and punk attitude to create a unique and energetic sound. The group is known for its unconventional approach to composition and performance, often incorporating elements of improvisation and graphic notation into their work.

Since their formation, Fischermanns Orchestra has released several albums, including "Wildfang" (2013), "Colombia" (2015), and "Space Friction" (2022). They've gained recognition in the Swiss jazz scene, winning the Lucerne Jazz Prize in 2014 for their ongoing concert activities and creative drive. The band has also toured internationally, including performances in Colombia and at jazz festivals like jazzahead! in Bremen, Germany.
