**Fanie Antonelou** is a Greek soprano born in 1979 in Athens, where she kicked off her musical journey early on with studies in singing, piano, and music theory. She took her talents to Germany for postgraduate training in voice, opera, and lieder at the Stuttgart College of Music, plus early music at the Trossingen College of Music.
She's racked up some big wins, like the Maria Callas Grand Prix in the oratorio-song category in Athens back in 2005 and the Mendelssohn Prize in Frankfurt in 2008 and 2009. These days, she's belting out highlights from Mozart's *Le nozze di Figaro*, Goethe Lieder by Beethoven and others, and cool projects like *Affinities: Greek and German Art Songs* with pianist Kerstin Mörk, while performing Bach masses and requiems across Europe.
