Kobi Jonz is a musician with roots in Nigeria, currently residing in Houston, Texas. He draws inspiration from influential artists like Fela Kuti, Bob Marley & The Wailers, Sade, Damian Marley, and Burna Boy, which reflects in his vibrant and energetic sound. His music aims to inspire hope, love, and self-motivation in listeners. Kobi Jonz is also the founder of WeWoke Music Group, an independent record label he established with his manager. The label is dedicated to promoting Afrobeats in the American market and supporting other Houston-based Afrobeats artists.

Kobi Jonz's journey into music began in college, where he started recording with his roommate in 2009. Over the years, he has developed his skills and confidence, culminating in the release of his debut EP, "Xylem," in 2018. His music career has been marked by perseverance and a commitment to his craft, despite the challenges he faced. Kobi Jonz continues to produce and release music, with recent tracks like "Wake Up," "Festive Vibes," and "LOVE OR LAMBA" showcasing his evolving style.
