Feral Light

Feral Light is a mysterious two-piece band from Minnesota, blending black metal, crust punk, and post-metal elements to create a unique sound. They feature ex-members of notable bands such as Wolvhammer, Empires, Manetheren, and Censor. The duo, consisting of Andrew Reesen on drums and Andy Schoengrund handling guitars and vocals, has released several albums, including "A Reckoning With The Intangible," "Psychic Contortions," "Life Vapor," "Fear Rides a Shadow," and earlier works like "Void/Sanctify" and "A Sound of Moving Shields." Their music is characterized by its grim, sorrowful black metal intertwined with savage crust punk, often incorporating layers of post-metal.

Feral Light's final album, "A Reckoning With The Intangible," was released in 2024, marking the end of their musical journey. The album showcases the band's ability to push their sound to new extremes, with tracks like "Rotting Linearity" and "Shattered and Broken at the Base of Time" exemplifying their signature blend of darkness and intensity.
