Faisal Kapadia is a Pakistani musician best known as one half of the iconic pop-rock duo Strings, which he co-founded with Bilal Maqsood. Formed in the late 1980s, Strings became one of South Asia's most influential bands, gaining popularity with their melodic tunes, socially conscious lyrics, and a unique blend of Eastern and Western musical influences. The band produced several chart-topping hits over the years, such as "Duur," "Sar Kiye Yeh Pahar," and "Najane Kyun."
After the band disbanded in 2021, Faisal Kapadia stepped into a solo career, showcasing a fresh creative direction while retaining his signature emotive vocal style. He made a powerful return with his solo debut on Coke Studio Season 14, and has since released a series of reflective, soulful tracks like "Phir Milenge" and "Hum Na Rahay." With his decades-long experience and ever-evolving artistry, Kapadia continues to be a beloved figure in South Asian music.
