Senyor Oca

Senyor Oca is a hip-hop group from Barcelona, formed in 2012 and led by MC Sergi Sala. The band also includes Ferran Sabanés "Deps" (vocals), Albert Galeote "Gale" (DJ), Miki Grau (drums), and "King Siva" (winds). Their music combines rap with influences from dub and drum and bass, often incorporating percussion and metal instruments. Senyor Oca is known for their socially critical lyrics, often focusing on themes related to their Catalan roots but not exclusively on political struggles. They have released several albums, including *Cant de pagès* (2018) and *EGA* (2019), and have gained recognition for their energetic live performances.

In recent years, Senyor Oca has continued to evolve with new releases, such as *Portals* (2022) and the upcoming *Metall* (2025). Their music often explores themes of social critique and introspection, blending powerful rhythms with meaningful lyrics. The group's success was highlighted by their win at the Sona9 competition in 2017, which marked a significant milestone in their career.
