Hibou is the dreamy solo project of Seattle-based musician Peter Michel, known for crafting hazy, nostalgic soundscapes that blend shoegaze textures with indie pop hooks. Formerly the drummer for Craft Spells, Michel launched Hibou in 2014, channeling surf-rock breeziness and 80s synth tones into melancholic yet sun-kissed tunes. His music often feels like a road trip through coastal fog, with releases like *Something Familiar* (2018) and *Halve* (2023) showcasing his knack for balancing introspective lyrics with danceable rhythms.
