Taking Back October

Taking Back October is a rock band from Kvernaland, Norway, formed in 2019 by Lars Martin Aasgård, Svein Ove Netland, and Jan Cato Traa. The band members have extensive experience from various bands in the region, having played both cover songs and original music for other artists. They decided to create their own music, combining their experiences to craft a unique sound. Their first single, "See It Through," was released on March 1, 2020, accompanied by the bonus track "Life's Too Short." The band's music draws inspiration from the rich rock heritage of the 1970s and beyond, blending elements of rock, punk, blues, and pop. The current lineup includes Lars Martin Aasgård on vocals, Svein Ove Netland on guitar, Jan Cato Traa on drums, Fredrik Kverneland on Hammond, and Rolf Nymark on bass, who replaced Paul Ueland in 2021.

Taking Back October has continued to release new music regularly, with compositions and lyrics written by Svein Ove Netland and Lars Martin Aasgård. Their recent releases include tracks like "Pillars Of Madness," "High Road," "The Power Inside," "Writing's on the Wall," "Kingsman Call," "Sycamore," and "See It Through."
