Chicago Farmer

Chicago Farmer is the stage name of Cody Diekhoff, a folk singer-songwriter deeply rooted in the American Midwest. Hailing from a small farming town in Illinois, he eventually moved to Chicago, which inspired his moniker as a way to bridge his rural upbringing with his city life. His music is known for its storytelling, often painting vivid, relatable portraits of everyday people, hard times, and the landscapes of the heartland, delivered with a warm, conversational style and acoustic guitar.

Building a loyal following through relentless touring, both solo and with his band The Fieldhands, his albums—like "Midwest Side Stories," "Backenforth, IL," and "Flyover Country"—are celebrated for their authenticity and heartland charm. Tracks such as "The Twenty Dollar Bill" and "Dirtiest Uniform" showcase his knack for finding profound meaning in ordinary moments, cementing his reputation as a genuine voice for the flyover states.
