Birth Control
Birth Control is a German progressive rock band that originally formed in 1966 in Berlin. Known for their blend of hard rock, psychedelic, and progressive elements, the band became a staple of the Krautrock movement in the 1970s. One of their most famous and controversial album covers was for their 1972 release Hoodoo Man, which helped solidify their place in rock history. Their music often features extended instrumental parts, complex arrangements, and philosophical lyrics, with a touch of humor and social commentary.
Throughout the decades, Birth Control has undergone numerous line-up changes, but managed to maintain a consistent presence in the European rock scene. They have released a steady stream of albums, both studio and live, including recent titles like Live @ Tresohr Sessions and These Are the Days. Despite the passing of founding member Bernd Noske in 2014, the band has continued to perform and record, keeping their legacy alive for new generations of prog rock fans.
