Red Temple Pray is an alt/hard rock band hailing from Columbus, Ohio, founded years ago by Josh Richter, Nicky, and John. After early challenges—like struggling to find a dedicated drummer and a period of inactivity—Richter and Nick reignited the project, recruiting new drummer Jordan and eventually bringing John back into the fold. Their momentum picked up with the release of the well-received EP *Violently Lush*, leading quickly to work on their debut full-length album, *Can It Get Any Worse?*. Richter describes the songwriting for their debut as unusually smooth, focusing on riff-heavy alternative rock with clean vocals and lyrics that explore love and the end of the world in a heartfelt way.
