Lili Maljic, also known as Lili Mae, is a Serbian-born jazz vocalist, pianist, and arranger who started her musical training at a young age, beginning classical piano at seven and performing professionally by nine. She studied jazz voice at the University for Music and Performing Arts in Vienna and is now pursuing a master's degree in Jazz Voice in Graz, Austria. Known for her warm tone and improvisational skills, Lili has performed with prominent musicians including the late trumpet master Jim Rotondi, who was also her mentor. Her debut album, *The Nearness of You: In Loving Memory of Jim Rotondi*, features fresh interpretations of classic American jazz standards and showcases her deep connection to jazz tradition as well as her own artistic voice.
Based in Austria, Lili Maljic balances performance and original songwriting while continuing to expand her presence in the European jazz scene. She leads projects like the "Miss Mae Quartet" and performs in various ensembles, exploring a blend of jazz standards and contemporary compositions. Her engaging style and dedication mark her as a rising artist in jazz, aiming for broader tours and recordings, including plans to perform in the U.S..
