Tiny Fireflies is an indie pop duo composed of singer Kristine Capua and multi-instrumentalist Lisle Mitnik. Originating from Chicago, they are known for their dreamy and beautifully layered sound, which has evolved from quiet bedroom recordings to more expansive musical creations. One of their earliest collaborations was for a compilation series with the netlabel Eardrums Pop, leading to the release of a well-received three-song single in 2010. They gained popularity with tracks like "Don't Wait Until I Fall Asleep" and later released several albums and EPs, including their debut full-length album "The Space Between" in 2015, which received positive reviews for its retro synth pop style. The duo relocated to Portland, Oregon, and continued to produce music, including the 2018 release of "Nothing/2040".
Tiny Fireflies have performed at various festivals and venues, including the New York City Popfest and shows in England and Spain. Their music often blends elements of dream-pop, synth-pop, and indie influences, showcasing their unique blend of soundscapes and melodies.
