Naxatras

Naxatras is a psychedelic rock band that hails from Thessaloniki, Greece. Formed in the early 2010s, the band quickly made waves within the underground European psychedelic music scene with their rich, organic sound that draws inspiration from the classic psychedelic rock of the 60s and 70s, as well as the progressive and space rock movements. Their self-titled debut album, "Naxatras," released in 2015, firmly established the band's penchant for creating lush, sprawling soundscapes complemented by a raw, analog recording ethos that captures the warmth and authenticity of their live performances.

The band has since continued to refine their sound through subsequent releases, characterized by hypnotic grooves, seductive melodies, and a deep sense of cosmic exploration. "II" and "III," released in 2016 and 2018 respectively, further solidified Naxatras's status as key figures in the modern psych-rock revival, showcasing their ability to blend serene acoustics with powerful, full-band jams. In addition to studio work, Naxatras has earned a reputation for their compelling live shows, as captured in recordings like "Live in Athens" and "Live Rituals at Gagarin 205." The band's continued exploration of sound is epitomized in their 2021 release, "IV," and the track "Omega Madness," with each new composition inviting listeners on a journey through the bends and folds of space-time, powered by a relentless quest for the otherworldly realm of Narahmon.
