Elim Chan is a Hong Kong-born conductor who has built an international profile after winning the Donatella Flick Conducting Competition in 2014, which led to an assistant conductor position with the London Symphony Orchestra. She’s known for her energetic, clear conducting style and for championing a wide range of repertoire, from core symphonic works to contemporary music.
Over the past decade she’s worked with major orchestras across Europe and North America, and she has held prominent posts including Chief Conductor of the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra. Chan has also been active in opera and ballet repertoire, and she’s become a familiar guest on concert stages for both standard classics and newer works.
