Fleshwater

Fleshwater is an American rock band formed in 2017 by vocalist and guitarist Anthony DiDio and drummer Matt Wood, both also members of the metalcore band Vein.fm. They were later joined by bassist Jeremy Martin, also from Vein.fm, and lead vocalist Marisa Shirar. The band's sound blends elements of soft grunge, nu gaze, shoegaze, and alternative metal, drawing inspiration from the late '90s and early 2000s rock scene. Their music career gained momentum with the release of their debut EP *demo2020*, featuring the popular track "Linda Claire," which garnered significant attention and over a million Spotify streams.

In 2022, Fleshwater released the singles "Kiss the Ladder" and "The Razor's Apple," announcing their debut album *We're Not Here to Be Loved*, which was well-received by critics. The band has since toured extensively, supporting acts like No Pressure and Harms Way. In late 2023, they released the EP *Sounds of Grieving*, a reimagined and remixed collection of tracks from their debut album. Fleshwater's unique blend of genres and nostalgic influences has resonated with fans, establishing them as a notable presence in the contemporary rock scene.
