The Boo Radleys

The Boo Radleys are a British alternative rock band, originally formed in Wallasey, Merseyside, in 1988. The band consists of vocalist/guitarist Sice, guitarist/songwriter Martin Carr, bassist Tim Brown, and drummer Rob Cieka. They took their name from the character Boo Radley in Harper Lee's 1960 novel, "To Kill a Mockingbird." The Boo Radleys gained critical acclaim in the early '90s, riding the wave of the shoegazing trend with their early material, but they later diversified their sound, incorporating pop and psychedelic elements. Their most commercially successful period came with the release of the album "Wake Up!" in 1995, which featured the hit single "Wake Up Boo!".

The Boo Radleys went on a prolonged hiatus in 1999, following the release of their album "Kingsize," but to the delight of their loyal fan base, they reemerged with new music after more than two decades. Their most recent releases, including their eighth studio album "Keep On With Falling" and its various iterations, showcased a matured sound reflecting their enduring passion for music and innovation. Songs like "A Full Syringe And Memories Of You" and "I've Had Enough I'm Out" echo the band's ability to intertwine melancholy with melody, while live recordings such as "Live In 2021" capture the raw energy of their performances, connecting the past and present of The Boo Radleys' expansive sonic journey.
