Initially performing under the name Florin Fermecătoru, he later adopted the stage name Florin Salam, which means "peace" in Arabic. Salam gained popularity with hits like "Ce gagică şmecherită" and played a significant role in the success of "Of, viața mea," sung by Adrian Minune and Costi Ioniță. He is known for his energetic performances and has collaborated with artists like Paula Seling and Goran Bregović. Salam is also the vice-president of the Association of Romani Artists, Musicians, and Lăutari from Romania.
