SPACESHIPS

SPACESHIPS is a post-gaze band from South Bend, Indiana, formed in 2013 by singer/guitarist Nat FitzGerald. The band evolved from FitzGerald's solo project A Rocket Named Justice and quickly developed a distinct sound. Over the years, SPACESHIPS has released several full-length albums, including "I Am a Storm at Sea!!!", "Son of Man", "Pillars", and most recently "Ruins". Additionally, they have released an EP titled "Tiny Fires" and a split with analecta called "Retrouvé". The band's music often blends heavy guitar-centered soundscapes with emotional lyrics, exploring themes such as social polarization and fractured relationships.

SPACESHIPS' lineup has included guitarist/keyboardist Ben Gooding, drummer Joel Sanchez, and bassist Bret Wood. Their musical approach often incorporates various instruments like acoustic guitars, keyboards, drum machines, and saxophone, adding depth to their sound. The band's evolution has been marked by a shift from live tracking to more meticulous studio work, allowing for more complex arrangements and layers in their music.
