RPWL

RPWL is a German progressive rock band that originated from a Pink Floyd cover band known as Violet District. Formed in 1997 in Freising, Bavaria, the acronym of RPWL comes from the first letters of the last names of the founding members: Phil Paul Rissettio (drums), Chris Postl (bass), Karlheinz Wallner (guitar), and Yogi Lang (vocals and keyboards). The group quickly evolved beyond their cover band roots, carving out a distinctive identity in the progressive rock genre with their own original material.

With a sound that seamlessly blends melodic rock with complex arrangements and philosophical lyrics, RPWL has gained a reputation for their thought-provoking music and impressive live performances. Over the years, they have released a series of critically acclaimed albums, with their studio works often accompanied by equally powerful live recordings. "Tales from Outer Space" is one of their notable recent albums, and they've demonstrated their live prowess through offerings like "God Has Failed - Live & Personal" and "Live from Outer Space". As RPWL's music continues to evolve, they maintain a dedicated fanbase within the progressive rock community and remain a respected presence on the international music scene.
