Caligula’s Horse are an Australian progressive metal band from Brisbane, Queensland, formed in 2011. They’re known for blending heavy, modern prog-metal punch with big melodic hooks and more expansive, atmospheric songwriting, earning them a strong following in the contemporary prog scene.
They broke through with albums like *The Tide, the Thief & River’s End* (2013) and *Bloom* (2015), and later continued evolving their sound on *In Contact* (2017) and *Rise Radiant* (2020). Their 2024 album *Charcoal Grace* further cemented their reputation for ambitious, emotive prog that’s technical without losing the songcraft.
