Emmanuel Pahud

Emmanuel Pahud is a renowned flutist whose virtuosity and musical sensitivity have placed him at the pinnacle of the classical music world. Born on January 27, 1970, in Geneva, Switzerland, to a non-musical family, Pahud discovered his passion for the flute at an early age. He pursued his studies at the Conservatoire de Paris, where he was influenced by some of the most prestigious flutists. Shortly after graduating, he won several international competitions, which catapulted him into the global classical music scene.

Pahud's repertoire is both vast and eclectic, covering not only the masterpieces of the baroque, classical, and romantic periods but also delving into contemporary and lesser-known works. This versatility is reflected in his discography, with recent releases such as "Mozart Stories," "Romances," and "Nino Rota: Chamber Music" showcasing his ability to bridge different eras and styles. He has a special affinity for Mozart, evident in his multiple recordings dedicated to the composer's work, such as "Mozart & Flute in Paris." Pahud's distinctive tone, technical prowess, and insightful interpretations have earned him critical acclaim and a dedicated following worldwide. As a soloist, chamber musician, and a long-standing principal flutist of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, Emmanuel Pahud continues to enchant audiences and contribute significantly to the flute repertoire.
