Prosperina

Prosperina is a Welsh psychedelic rock trio born from the ashes of cult 90s stoner metal band Acrimony. Formed in Swansea by guitarist/vocalist Lee "Spike" Davies and drummer Stuart "Cano" O'Hara (both Acrimony alumni) alongside bassist Gid Goundrey, the band takes its name from a character in Shakespeare's *The Tempest* while channeling cosmic riff explorations. Their sound evolved from Acrimony's earth-shaking grooves into more ethereal territories, blending heavy psych textures with spaced-out atmospheres across releases like their 2014 debut *Faith in Sleep* and 2023's *Flag*. Recent tracks like "Deep Never" and "Harness-Minus" showcase their signature blend of thunderous low-end rumble and trippy, lysergic melodies, maintaining their status as unsung heroes of the UK's underground heavy scene.
