Arun Paudwal

**Arun Paudwal** (1944–1991) was a talented Indian music composer who made his mark in Hindi and Marathi films. Born in Mumbai on May 9, 1944, he kicked off his career as an assistant to the legendary S.D. Burman, teaming up with Anil Mohile as the duo 'Anil-Arun' on classics like *Abhimaan* (1973) and working with Bappi Lahiri for over 15 years. He stepped into composing on his own for films like *Bhagwan Samaye Sansar Mein* (1976) and *Aaj Ka Ye Ghar* (1976), and later scored hits such as the duet "Ashwini Ye Na" from *Gammat Jammat* (1987) sung by Kishore Kumar and his wife Anuradha Paudwal, plus the successful soundtrack for *Meera Ka Mohan* (1992), released after his passing.

Arun was married to the iconic playback singer **Anuradha Paudwal** and was dad to singer Kavita Paudwal, leaving a versatile legacy in Bollywood before his death on November 1, 1991. His work blended film scores across languages, earning him props as a key behind-the-scenes player in Indian music.
