Amusement Parks On Fire

Amusement Parks On Fire is a British alternative rock band that emerged in the early 2000s as part of the shoegaze revival movement. The band was formed in Nottingham by Michael Feerick in 2004, who, at the age of 19, wrote and produced the self-titled debut album "Amusement Parks On Fire," which garnered a significant amount of attention for its dense, impressive soundscapes and sky-scraping sonics. The band’s lineup solidified with the addition of Daniel Knowles (guitar), Pete Dale (bass), Jez Cox (drums), and Joe Hardy (keyboard), allowing Feerick to evolve the project into a more collaborative effort.

Their sophomore record, "Out of the Angeles," released in 2006, displayed a maturation in their sound, incorporating a wider range of textures and more complex arrangements, which further cemented their status in the alternative music scene. Over the years, Amusement Parks On Fire went on to release several more records, each evolving through various shades of the sound spectrum the band is known for—from heavy, swirling guitars to melodic contemplations. The releases of "Road Eyes (Deluxe)" and their EP "All the New Ends" saw the band experimenting while staying true to their core sound. With their most recent releases such as "An Archaea" and "Thankyou Violin Radiopunk," Amusement Parks On Fire continues to showcase their ability to create vast, immersive soundscapes while pushing the boundaries of their genre. Their career is marked by a commitment to evolving their musical narrative, remaining a staple in the realm of contemporary shoegaze and alternative rock.
