Damilola Afolabi, known professionally as L.A.X, is a Nigerian recording artist who has made a substantial impact on the Afrobeats scene. Born on April 10, 1993, in Lagos, Nigeria, L.A.X embarked on his music career while he was still in university studying for a degree in Human Resource Management. His introduction to the mainstream came after a successful collaboration with Nigerian superstar Wizkid on the track "Caro," which put him on the map and led to his signing with the Starboy Entertainment label in 2013.
