Antonia Lamb

Antonia Lamb was a multifaceted artist born on October 3, 1943, in New York City. She was the first child of Robert Blick and Marion Heller Blick (Bacon). Growing up in New York and later Texas, Antonia developed a passion for music, theater, dance, and equal rights. Her musical journey took her to Hollywood in 1967, where she became known as an "astrologer to the stars" and befriended folk legend Bob Gibson. He gifted her a Vega longneck banjo, which she played throughout her life. Antonia began performing at L.A. folk clubs and later moved to Mendocino, California, where she became part of a vibrant musical community. She released several albums, including "Easy to Love Her" in 1978, "Amazing Tracks" in 1996, "Gamma" in 2006, "Lucky's House" in 2008, and "Banjo Grandma" in 2010. Her music blended folk, rock, and blues, reflecting her unique style and powerful stage presence.

Antonia's life was marked by creativity and a strong connection to the artistic community. She passed away on September 9, 2013, in Mendocino, leaving behind a legacy of music and a life lived with passion and purpose.
