Jake Shears

Jake Shears, born Jason F. Sellards on October 3, 1978, is an American singer-songwriter and performer best known as the lead vocalist of the pop-rock band Scissor Sisters. Hailing from Mesa, Arizona and raised on San Juan Island, Washington, Shears moved to New York City where he eventually formed Scissor Sisters in 2001. The band quickly became renowned for their flamboyant and energetic performances, with Shears at the forefront, captivating audiences with his charismatic presence. Scissor Sisters achieved international success with hits like "Take Your Mama" and "I Don't Feel Like Dancin'," reflecting a style heavily influenced by glam rock, dance music, and pop.
