Babylon A.D.

Babylon A.D. is an American hard rock band that came onto the scene in the late 1980s, known for their blend of melodic hooks, heavy guitars, and gritty vocals. Originally hailing from the San Francisco Bay Area, the band was formed by lead vocalist Derek Davis and guitarist John Mathews, eventually rounding out the lineup with guitarist Ron Freschi, bassist Robb Reid, and drummer Jamey Pacheco. They quickly gained attention with their self-titled debut album in 1989, which featured the MTV favorite "Bang Go the Bells" and the soundtrack hit "Kid Goes Wild," featured in the RoboCop 2 movie.

Over the years, Babylon A.D. earned a dedicated fan base with their high-energy live shows and a sound that meshed the glam metal aesthetic with a tougher, street-smart edge. While they took periodic breaks, the band has continued to record and perform, releasing new material like “Live Lightning” and singles including “Sailing” and “Love Is Cruel,” which showcase their enduring passion for hard rock.
