The Tisdales

The Tisdales are a rock band formed by Rich Mattson around 2008 after his previous band, Ol' Yeller, disbanded. Known for a sound described as a mix of Neil Young, Sonic Youth, and the Ramones, they released their debut album *Baker’s Dozen* in 2008, followed by albums like *Out With the New* and *Supercaldera*. The band embraces a raw, high-energy style with some psychedelic influences, and their recording process is characterized by a laid-back, improvisational vibe. Rich Mattson also built his own recording studio, Flowerpot, which allowed the band to create music on their own terms without outside pressure. The Tisdales have roots in the Iron Range music scene and continue to be active, blending classic rock sensibilities with experimental touches.
