Jan Gunnar Hoff

Jan Gunnar Hoff is a Norwegian jazz pianist, composer, and educator known for his richly melodic style and explorative approach to improvisation. Throughout his career, Hoff has taken part in a wide spectrum of jazz-oriented projects, from intimate solo piano works to dynamic collaborations with internationally acclaimed musicians. His work often blends Nordic lyricism with a modern jazz sensibility, showcasing both technical virtuosity and emotional depth.

In addition to releasing a steady stream of solo albums like Home and Stille Lys (Quiet Light), Hoff has collaborated with notable figures such as guitarist Mike Stern, as heard on the release Featuring Mike Stern.
