Float Face Down

Float Face Down was a melodic deathcore band hailing from New Jersey, formed in 2006. They made a strong impression on the deathcore scene, notably during the Myspace era, and released two key records: the EP *Bury Your Beliefs* in 2008 and the full-length album *Exitium Verum* in 2012, which remains influential in the genre. Despite lineup changes, including the departure of guitarist Matt Douglas and eventually continuing as a four-piece, they kept touring actively until disbanding in 2014.

The band's sound combined heavy, aggressive riffs with melodic elements, earning them a dedicated fanbase. Tragically, their lead vocalist Ron Gilbert passed away in 2017, marking an end to the band’s chapter. Their work, especially *Exitium Verum*, continues to be celebrated for its impact and energy within deathcore circles.
