Julian Calendar is a unique rock band based in Charlotte, NC. Led by Jeremy Fisher, the group incorporates a diverse range of musical influences, blending sounds similar to Sonic Youth, Pavement, and elements of gothic Americana. The band's creative process is collaborative, with contributions from poet Amy Bagwell and novelist Jeff Jackson, who also handles vocals alongside Hannah Hundley. Fisher's background in music theory and composition at Appalachian State University, where he studied under the influence of avant-garde and jazz composers, significantly shapes the band's sound. Their album *Parallel Collage* showcases this eclectic approach, recorded in Fisher's home studio with a focus on experimentation and sound exploration.

The band's lineup includes Scott Thompson on multiple instruments and Lee Herrera on drums, who joined later in the process.
