Blanck Mass is the solo project of British musician Benjamin John Power, known as one half of the electronic duo Fuck Buttons. As Blanck Mass, Power creates immersive soundscapes that combine elements of drone, ambient, and noise music with emotional intensity. He began this venture in 2011 with a self-titled debut album.
Blanck Mass's sonic palette has evolved over the years. With releases like "Dumb Flesh" (2015) and "World Eater" (2017), Power developed a signature sound that melds pulsating rhythms with sweeping electronic textures, often exploring themes of nature, humanity, and chaos. His later works, such as "Animated Violence Mild" (2019) and "In Ferneaux" (2021), showcase his willingness to push genre boundaries, blending intensity and beauty. Power has also composed for film and television, contributing original scores for projects like "Calm With Horses" and "Ted K". "The Rig (Prime Video Original Series Soundtrack)" is among his latest offerings, solidifying his reputation in electronic music and audiovisual composition.
