The Amazons

The Amazons are a British rock band that has been making waves in the music scene since their formation in Reading, England, in 2014. Comprised of lead vocalist and guitarist Matt Thomson, guitarist Chris Alderton, bassist Elliot Briggs, and drummer Joe Emmett, the band delivers a raw and energetic sound that harks back to the glory days of classic rock while infusing it with a contemporary edge. They catapulted into the public eye with their self-titled debut album, "The Amazons," released in 2017, which was later followed up by a deluxe version that helped cement their reputation as one of the UK's most exciting and promising rock acts.

Their sophomore album, "Future Dust," launched in 2019, was a testament to the band's growth and ambition, featuring tracks that showcase their ability to blend heavy, guitar-driven rock with anthemic choruses and thought-provoking lyrics. Highlights from this era include "25," "Doubt It," and the powerful "Mother." Apart from their studio releases, The Amazons have also become known for their spirited live performances, as evidenced by their live recording "Month Of May (Recorded Live at BBC Maida Vale)." The Amazons continue to thrive and evolve, with recent releases such as "Bloodrush" and "How Will I Know If Heaven Will Find Me?" paving the way for their next chapter – one that is sure to be followed with keen interest by fans and critics alike.
