Józef Koffler was a Polish composer and pianist born in 1896. He studied at the Vienna Conservatory and later became a professor at the Warsaw Conservatory. Koffler's music is characterized by its use of folk melodies and rhythms, as well as its complex harmonies and textures. He composed a wide range of works, including symphonies, concertos, chamber music, and piano pieces. Koffler died in 1944 during the Warsaw Uprising.
