DJ Hyperactive

DJ Hyperactive, born Joseph Manumaleuna, is a renowned DJ and producer from Chicago. He is celebrated for his contributions to the techno scene, often referred to as one of Daft Punk's "Teachers" and a key figure in the underground music world. Hyperactive honed his skills in the influential Chicago scene of the early 1990s, quickly gaining international recognition. Over his career, he has performed at iconic venues such as Orbit in Leeds, Liquid Room in Tokyo, Love Parade in Berlin, and Tresor & Berghain in Berlin. He has also produced over 100 tracks and remixes, including classics like "Venus" and "Wide Open." After a hiatus, DJ Hyperactive returned to Chicago in 2013 to reconnect with his roots.

His recent releases include tracks like "Reptilian Tank," "A Is For Acid," and "Timelapse EP," showcasing his enduring influence in the techno genre. With a career spanning decades, DJ Hyperactive continues to inspire new generations of electronic music fans and artists alike. His legacy as a pioneer in the Chicago techno scene remains strong, with his music still widely appreciated in clubs and festivals around the world.
