De Zonnepitten

De Zonnepitten, a Dutch children's choir from Schijndel, gained recognition through their recordings of classic children’s songs and story-themed albums. Under the leadership of Gonnie Goossens—a vocal instructor, performer, and choir leader—the group released works like *Reintje de vos* (2013) and *50 Kinderliedjes* (2021), which include playful renditions of tracks such as “Abraham Had Zeven Zonen” and “Alle Eendjes Zwemmen In Het Water.” Noteworthy alumni include jazz vocalist Edith van den Heuvel, who began her singing career with the choir as a child. Their releases often emphasize collaborative storytelling and traditional Dutch children’s music.
