Afro Blue is a collegiate a cappella group from Howard University in Washington, D.C. The group was formed in 2000 and has since become one of the most well-known and respected a cappella groups in the country. Afro Blue has released several albums and EPs, and has toured extensively throughout the United States and abroad.
Afro Blue gained national attention in 2011 when they competed on the third season of NBC's a cappella competition show, "The Sing-Off." The group's soulful, jazzy sound and tight harmonies earned them a spot as one of the show's top three finalists. Since their appearance on "The Sing-Off," Afro Blue has continued to perform and record music, releasing albums such as "An Afro Blue Christmas" and "That Is Love: Celebrating 15 Years of Afro Blue."
