Fingers Inc.

Fingers Inc. was a pioneering group in the realm of house music, chiefly active during the mid to late 1980s. The trio consisted of producer and arranger Larry Heard (also known as Mr. Fingers), and vocalists Robert Owens and Ron Wilson. Fusing the burgeoning sounds of Chicago's dance music with soulful vocals and deep, melodic synth lines, Fingers Inc. played an integral role in shaping the early landscape of house music and elevating it beyond the city's local clubs to international acclaim.

Their most esteemed work is the 1988 album "Another Side," which stands as one of the first full-length house music albums and a classic of the genre. Its influence reverberated through the house music scene and beyond, contributing to the soundtrack of late '80s dance floors and introducing a level of sophistication and songcraft previously unheard in electronic music of the time. While the group disbanded not long after this release, their impact continues to be felt, and their music, including previously unreleased material like "The Children's House (Original Full Take)" and the edited "The Children's House," keeps finding new audiences, maintaining their legacy as house music luminaries.
