Farkas Wind Quintet Amsterdam

The Farkas Quintet Amsterdam is regarded as the Netherlands' premier woodwind quintet, founded since 1997. The group is notable for its extensive touring throughout the Netherlands and Europe, and they are recognized for a distinctive sound and technical perfection. They have released notable recordings, including French repertoire and the world's first live recording of Arnold Schönberg's Wind Quintet opus 26, along with their interpretations of Haydn's "Die Sieben letzten Worte unseres Erlösers am Kreuze" for wind quintet. Herman van Kogelenberg, a founding member, is a principal flutist known for his work with several prominent orchestras and his involvement in various musical festivals worldwide.

As part of their diverse program offerings, the Farkas Quintet also performs works from renowned composers like Mozart, Ravel, and others, blending classic and contemporary elements into their repertoire.
