Negatyw

Negatyw is a Polish alternative rock band that kicked off in late 1998 in Mysłowice, Śląsk, thanks to frontman **Mietall Waluś** (vocals and guitar) teaming up with guitarist/keyboardist **Darek Kowolik**—guys who'd jammed together before in local outfits like Skowyt and Kurtyna. They hit the ground running with over 100 gigs in their first three years, signed with Warner Music Poland, and dropped their debut album *Paczatarez* in 2002, packed with hits like "Amsterdam," "Lubię was," and "Dziewczyny nie palcie marihuany" that got critics and fans buzzing.

The band racked up nominations and wins at awards like the Fryderyki, toured spots like China, and kept the energy high until calling it quits in 2017—only to roar back in **2025** with fresh releases like *AUTOSTYGMATYZACJA*, *Przeładowanie*, and *Virus*, proving they're still rocking strong. Core lineup's included shredders like Afgan Gąsior and Robert Ligiewicz, with some lineup tweaks over the years.
