Samiam

Samiam is a melodic punk band that formed in Berkeley, California in 1988. Known for blending emotionally charged lyrics with the energy and grit of punk rock, the band emerged from the same vibrant East Bay scene that gave rise to acts like Jawbreaker and Green Day. Over the years, they’ve built a loyal international following, thanks to their heartfelt songwriting and relentless touring. Their sound fuses classic punk urgency with a melodic, almost alternative rock edge, helping to pave the way for the emo and punk revival scenes of the late '90s and early 2000s.

Despite periods of activity and hiatus, Samiam has maintained a strong cult status, releasing influential records like Clumsy (1994), You Are Freaking Me Out (1997), and Trips (2011).
