Fuath is a black metal project that is the brainchild of Scottish musician Andy Marshall, known for his atmospheric folk/black metal project Saor. The name 'Fuath' itself is Gaelic for 'hatred' or 'hostility', which reflects the more aggressive and raw nature of the music as compared to the often lush soundscapes of Saor. Drawing inspiration from the cold and bleak atmospheres of traditional black metal acts, Fuath delves into the depths of the genre's second wave, offering a sound that is both nostalgic and punishing.

Since its inception, Fuath has captured the essence of the stark and haunting landscapes of Scotland through relentless, tremolo-picked riffs and an undercurrent of melodic sensibilities.
