Francesca Breschi

Francesca Breschi is a classically trained musician and vocalist from Florence, who has been active since the late 1970s. Initially studying piano from 1968 to 1978, she further honed her singing skills under Professor Pezzetti in Perugia. Over her extensive career, she has worn many hats including singer, actress, composer, and educator, with strong ties to theater and a passion for exploring diverse musical worlds such as medieval and ancient music, poetry, singer-songwriter traditions, electronic music, and multimedia art forms. Since 1990, she has been a member of Giovanna Marini’s vocal quartet, also serving as musical assistant and choir director for Marini's theatrical compositions. Francesca has collaborated with a wide range of artists across different disciplines, including Nicola Piovani, Francesco De Gregori, Vinicio Capossela, and many others, showing her versatility and deep engagement with Italian and contemporary musical culture.

Her work reflects a rich blend of classical training, theatrical involvement, and an experimental approach to music, making her a multifaceted artist who bridges traditional and avant-garde styles. Breschi’s contributions to Italian music and theater are notable for their depth and collaborative spirit, often crossing boundaries between performance, composition, and education.
