THRÆDS

THRÆDS is a multinational progressive post-metal band based in Berlin that started as a solo project by guitarist Angelos Tzamtzis in 2019 and soon expanded into a five-piece group. Their sound strikingly blends heavy and melodic elements, mixing groove and passion with bittersweet and atmospheric layers. They released their debut EP *Akasha* in 2021, followed by their self-produced full-length album *Impermanence*, which explores themes of existence, impermanence, and the cycles of creation and destruction through a mix of intense heaviness and eerie stillness.

Their music draws from influences like Gojira, Tool, and Porcupine Tree, creating a style that balances ethereal melodies and aggressive progressions. Tracks like “Einstein-Rosen Bridge” and “Nothing Good to Say” highlight their ability to navigate between melancholic moods and powerful riffs. Vocalist Celso Borralho showcases a versatile range, from soulful croons to gravelly intensity, adding emotional depth to the band's atmospheric foundations.
