Doğan Canku

Doğan Canku is a renowned Turkish musician, guitarist, and composer with a career that has significantly influenced the country's music scene. Born on January 15, 1947, he rose to prominence in the late 1960s and early 1970s as one of the founding members of the seminal Anatolian rock band, Moğollar, which played a pivotal role in the development of Turkish rock music by blending traditional Anatolian melodies with modern rock elements. After Moğollar, he was also part of another important Turkish rock band, Kurtalan Ekspres, which backed Barış Manço.
