Fear of the Storm is a gothic rock band from Enna, Sicily, Italy. Founded in January 1991 under the name Storm, the band initially consisted of Carl Hoax (Carlo Disimone, guitar and vocals), Valy Ash (Valeria Buono, keyboards and vocals), Mad (Antonio Oliveri, bass), and Rasta (Massimiliano Busa, drums). They released a demo tape titled "R.I.P." which received favorable reviews. After changing their name to Fear of the Storm, they shared a split tape with Ataraxia and later used a drum machine following Rasta's departure. The band was signed by Energeia and recorded several notable releases, including "The Key of My Silence" and "… so sad to die in oblivion …". They gained recognition for their extensive touring in Italy and appearances in various goth and wave zines.

Although they ceased activities for a period, they are currently working on remastering and releasing their back catalog, which will include previously unreleased material.
