Fire EX.

Fire EX. (滅火器) is a punk rock band from Kaohsiung, Taiwan that formed in 2000. The group consists of Sam on vocals, Orio on guitar, Pipi on bass, and KG on drums. They're known for singing in both Taiwanese Hokkien and Mandarin Chinese, as well as for their social activism supporting Taiwanese independence and same-sex marriage. Fire EX. gained widespread recognition during the 2014 Sunflower Student Movement when their song "Island's Sunrise" became an unofficial anthem for the protesters. The band has continued to be influential in Taiwan's music scene, winning awards and performing at major festivals and venues both in Taiwan and internationally.
