Q5

Q5 is a hard rock and heavy metal band that originally formed in Seattle, Washington, in 1983. The group is best known for their melodic guitar riffs, anthemic choruses, and energetic performance style. Q5's lineup has evolved over the years, with founding members Floyd Rose (inventor of the Floyd Rose locking tremolo system), guitarist Rick Pierce and vocalist Jonathan K joining forces with various musicians to fuel the band's classic yet evolving sound.

The band initially gained significant attention with the release of their debut album "Steel the Light" in 1984, which included tracks that resonated with metal fans across the globe, and became an underground hit. After a period of inactivity, Q5 made a comeback, reigniting their presence in the rock and metal scene with "New World Order" in 2016, demonstrating their enduring ability to produce powerful, guitar-driven music. "When the Mirror Cracks" and "A Prisoner of Mind" highlight the band's penchant for thought-provoking lyrics and complex musical arrangements, while songs like "We Came Here to Rock" and "Halfway to Hell" prove that Q5 still delivers the high-octane rock anthems that originally propelled them to recognition within the 1980s metal community. Despite lineup changes and the passing of time, Q5 has retained a dedicated fan base and continues to contribute to the legacy of classic metal with new material and passionate live performances.
